Consultants.
Our Ohio-based team serves as independent consultants, not brokers. How are the two different? We operate on our own and aren’t limited to working with a small ecosystem of defined partners or vendors. The health care solutions and partners we select are based on what’s best for each client, and those decisions are never driven by incentives or sales commissions.

Experience.
We’ve been in the business of benefits consulting a long time and have 55 years of experience helping employers get better, more affordable benefits. HLU understands that customer service is everything! Your account won’t get handed off from rep to rep and there’s no doubt that it will always receive the personalized attention it deserves. We also understand that web-based benefit enrollment is important so that’s why we provide a single-source, onboarding and open-enrollment web-portal that integrates with virutally every insurance company to all of our clients.

Results.
Where do we start? Here’s an example: One of our clients, a distribution company with 175 employees, had high speciality Rx medication utilization. Not only was this costing the health plan over $225,000 in specialty drug costs but it cost several employees thousands of dollars in Rx copays. We were able to find alternative sources for the same specialty medications and reduce pharmacy costs nearly 45%. And the employees paid less out-of-pocket for their specialty medications!
